If you enter the house through the garage, you come into the laundry room. This might be my second favorite part of the house's lay-out...second only to a delicious little nook you will see in the next post. The laundry room is huge, stock full of storage, has a sink, and will eventually have a space for not only a craft station, but also 3 locker style cubbies for the kids!
Closet number one:
Closet number two:
Just imagine a long countertop running down that baby...
Hard to out those jungle-covered windows, huh?
The end opposite of the entry...i.e. future craft station.
And then looking back towards the door.
Our very first day of "work" on the house we started by sorting and cleaning the garage. It was fairly simple and then we moved on to this room. You can't tell, but we had put in about four hours of sorting and removing by this time. It was FULL to the brim with stuff, mainly books. And EVERY room looked like this one. Once I realized that we hadn't even made the slightest difference after a FULL day's work, I started to panic, like reallllly panic. I went to talk to my dad and after I explained it would take at least 17 years to empty the house at the pace we were going (just think: I had g. in a wrap the whole time!) he looked at me quizzically. Empty it? Why would you empty it? You just have to take out the stuff YOU want. The auctioneers will do the rest. How had I not known that?
Needless to say, taking what we WANTED out, would take all of 2 hours max!
Thank goodness for dads! I had no idea that is how it works either. Whew! That much good stuff worth keeping eh?
